Here’s a quick a blog, to help you uplift your mental health!
The ways that I cure my mental health is super easy, and fun. It keeps my mind off my negative thoughts.
Number one way to uplift your mood, is dancing. Dancing has a healing aspect to it. Especially, when you are listening to your favorite songs, doing your daily affirmations. While creating a whole dance routine with the song you’re listening too. I love this for the simple fact, that I can be my true authentic self. I love this as well, because it gives me a fiery feeling. It makes me feel more comfortable in my own skin, and more confident. It also makes me feel like I’m in a music video, or a star in my own music video because that is a goal that I want. When you can imagine yourself doing the things that you love doing, not only are you manifesting it. You are opening yourself to your hugest potential which could be a dancer, or a performer. You never know until you start to try. So start dancing in front of the mirror, and see how it makes you feel. You may want to become one after realizing how happy it makes you feel.
Number two, is going on a walk. Normally, when we are having mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, worry, or whatever it is that you’re battling. It’s due to the uncertainty of something. But mainly, ourselves. We are so lost, that we don‘t know our soul purpose, our mission. This can cause a lot of mental health issues, due to the lack of knowing. When I go on a walk, I start to connect with the higher source due to how amazing the Universe is. You are divine. You are God’s creation. With that being said, God has a lot of ways of communicating with you, through Earth. When I go on a walk, I get a lot of my questions, and concerns answered by God due to the signs he sends me with nature. Not only is the Sun a magical feeling, but seeing the Universe answers your worries and concerns, can literally lift so much weight off your shoulders. Start to pay - close attention to your surroundings. If you‘re seeing something frequently, you’re not seeing it for no reason. God has a reason, you just need to put it together.
Another way, is the water. I didn’t realize how healing water can be. This is with anything that contains water. You can heal with your own shower head. You can heal with the pool that you have in your backyard. Even the water, that you drink could be very healing once you get in-tuned with how water is such a powerful tool. I like to use water as a way of letting go, releasing or manifesting. There’s so many techniques when it comes to water. But the main one, I want to share is releasing your emotions. Every time, you go to take a shower, think about the water as something that’s washing away all of your past, your pain, your sad feelings, your negative emotions. Talk about the things that has broken your heart, and wash it all off, and watch it hit the drain. It no longer serves you, it’s no longer your present moment. You can now move on, and never look back. This helped me release a lot of emotions, I was feeling when I was depressed and stuck. The more I did this, the more I was actually releasing, and healing my mind, body, and soul.
Another way to heal your mind, is journaling! Many people think that’s such a loser thing to do, or you’re too old to journal. But actually, you are releasing so much emotions by doing so. Journaling actually made me more comfortable with myself, made me comfortable with telling myself the truth. Made me confide more into myself, then going to others about my own business. Which results in rumors, or someone telling my business when I told them not to tell. The thing about writing is. You’re getting your loud, obnoxious thoughts unto a piece of paper. For me, it even wrote me a couple songs. I healed so much, and understood where pain was coming from because I was able to connect to self through paper. Sometimes it’s hard to voice your feelings. It’s hard to understand how you’re feeling. It’s hard to get in depth with how you’re feeling. If you’re that type of person, I advise you to start writing today. Just write whatever is on your mind at the moment, do not think so hard about it. Just write. If you have those days, where you cannot process how to start writing, go to Pinterest and type in “journal prompts” and you’ll have so many prompts to choose from.
Reading. I love reading now. It makes me feel so in the present moment. I am not in my head. I am not reliving the past. I am not drowning myself with the future. But instead, I am reading this book, that peaks my interest. I am focusing on finishing the book. Understanding the book. Loving the book. See, I hated reading in the past because the school used to make me read books with no meaning, boring storyline, then I have to answer questions on a book, I actually despise. It kept me so far away from reading because I’ve always had a horrible experience with it. But that’s what school does to you. It’s not about what you like, it’s about what’s going to get you to the next step to pass. So that’s why you end up hating it. But imagine reading a book that peaks your interest, that makes you happy, that gets your mind to be quieter, and to focus. Once you realize that you can focus on one thing, it makes you want to focus so many things because now you see that you’re able. Reading is just therapeutic because it helps you realize that you can focus and you can do something to keep your mind off of negativity.
These are my quick 5 tips that has helped my mental health drastically.
